Tell us a bit about your wedding! What inspired your choices?
We wanted to have something that felt romantic and elegant, but still simple. We want the emphasis to be on the environment in the room and the beauty of the venue.
What was your favorite part of your wedding day?
We loved being able to enjoy the day and not worry about a thing because we knew the Silo staff was going to handle it all. We got to enjoy our day freely without worrying about the little stuff.
How did you and your partner meet?
We met years ago when I went over to Justin’s house after Thanksgiving to hangout with friends. We sat and talked for a while and felt like we had known each other for years. Two years of being friends and visiting each other in Tucson and Las Vegas he finally confessed his feelings and here we are four years after meeting married and happier than ever!
Tell us the story of your proposal!
My grandmother’s ring that I wore everyday after her passing broke and Justin decided he was going to have it fixed for me. Little did I know I would get home from work that night to a bunch of red roses and nice dinner he had prepared himself. I went to my bedroom to change and found a teddy bear, roses, and a ring box on my bed. I turned around to Justin down on one knee with our dogs saying he got me something to wear while my grandmothers ring got fixed.
What are the two of you planning on tackling next in life?
Traveling, enjoying each others company, and maybe some babies in a few years.
What is something unique you incorporated into your wedding/reception?
We had the groomsmen and bridesmaids switch sides for the ceremony so I could see all my friends and he could see all of his.
Do you have any advice for other couples who are planning their own wedding right now?
Enjoy the little things and don’t stress too much. On the big day don’t worry about the hair, makeup, and how your dress looks enjoy being in the moment with the people you love and cherish the most.
What has been your favorite part about working with The Silo?
Everything!!! I couldn’t have asked for a better team to support us through planning and the big day. They truly made my wedding dreams come true and handled our wild friends and family amazingly. I would recommend the Silo a million times over for anyone getting married or need an amazing event space! We truly are incredibly grateful for everything they did for us!
