Tell us a bit about your wedding! What inspired your choices?
I wanted to go with something that I haven’t seen much before! I wanted it to be reminiscent of the iconic Twilight wedding but also wanted it to fit Krey and I. I love that we were able to DIY a lot of the decorations, as it is more personable to us. Our wedding had a very romantic, garden inspired feel. We chose colors like light blue, dark teal, black, and gold to keep a lighter feel to the day.
What was your favorite part of your wedding day?
My favorite part was seeing Krey for the first time at our first look. We’ve talked for weeks about his reaction when seeing me and it was nothing short of what I thought it was going to be.
How did you and your partner meet?
We are high school sweethearts! I was 16 and he was 17. We were ending our Sophomore and Junior years and had connected via some friends.
What are the two of you planning on tackling next in life?
We are focusing on getting through college! I will graduate next year with my Bachelor’s in Business Administration and Krey will graduate in 2 years with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy!!
What is something unique you incorporated into your wedding/reception?
I personally thought doing a first dance with my Grandpa was pretty unique. We danced to my Grandpa and Grandma’s wedding song “Time in a Bottle” by Jim Croce. Total surprise to them and it made them cry, lol!
Do you have any advice for other couples who are planning their own wedding right now?
Make sure to carve out time for the two of you! It’s a day to celebrate your union and love, so spend every second together that you can!
What has been your favorite part about working with The Silo?
I really loved The Silo's coordination service and their responsiveness! When I wasn’t sure of what to do, they were always prepared with advice or ideas of what we could for the wedding. I'm so glad we went with The Silo!!
