Schedule: 8-10 hour shifts , 2-3 days a week, Weekend Availability a Must
Pay: From $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 – 32 per week
Job Description
The Part-Time Assistant Manager is primarily responsible for providing excellent customer service and processing all venue requests before, during and after events. The Assistant Manager is also responsible for meeting with other vendors & overseeing/assisting with the prep, set up, and tear down of events. This role will also provide friendly and knowledgeable information regarding all products and services in a timely and efficient manner. The Assistant Manager must be an outstanding host when planning and coordinating events.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Manage all aspects of the venue sales process
-
Develop and pursue new sales leads
-
Conduct venue tours with prospective clients
-
Convert leads into booked clients
-
Conduct planning meetings to discuss and finalize all details with the booking party to ensure a successful event
-
Use upselling to maximize revenue when appropriate
-
Supervise & work collectively with other venue staff to ensure every request, within reason, is executed flawlessly and efficiently
-
Adhere to and interpret all Silo Event Center policies and procedures to provide a high level of service, updating venue account information and contractual documentation as necessary
-
Be familiar with the facility and surrounding area to provide correct information internally

Help maintain a clean and organized venue which includes the office, décor/storage areas, and the interior & exterior of event spaces.

Have an experienced knowledge of all clients, schedule, and operations; update any relevant information electronically

Be proficient in all opening/closing procedures & be knowledgeable of bar management and operations

Take inventory of alcohol & place orders as needed

Set up & breakdown tables, chairs and decorations for events, inside and outside

Schedule and Post to social media pages that aligns with The Silo’s branding using applications such as Facebook, Instagram & Tik Tok

Maintaining a working knowledge of the complex needs of a wide variety of events, especially weddings & receptions

Managing events and addressing potential problems that may arise, quickly & courteously

Planning for potential scenarios that could impact the integrity of the event

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

Experience managing multiple clients & events at a time
-
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, be on your feet for extended hours at a time & lift up to 50 lbs

A committed, professional and proactive approach to customer service excellence and client satisfaction

Excellent communications & interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with clients and vendors as well as staff members at all levels within the organization in person, by e-mail, and telephone

Ability to work well both independently and as a team player

Proven technology/app skills and experience with venue platforms: (i.e. POS/Square; Excel, Social Media platforms)

Availability to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Proficient with MS Office and Google Suites
